Give your entities something to do.
Unreal’s Mass Entity system gives developers a data-oriented foundation. Mass Forge adds the gameplay layer: attributes to change, abilities to activate, targets to find, and state to carry forward.
It works with actorless and represented entities. Blueprint and C++ access the same gameplay systems, so a prototype does not need a separate design from the rest of the game.
What the framework covers
- Attribute schemas, derived values and regeneration.
- Gameplay tags, instant and persistent effects, abilities and damage.
- Targeting, projectiles, death state and entity snapshots.
- Editor authoring tools, diagnostics and playable examples.
Before you integrate
The current documented compatibility target is Unreal Engine 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8 on Win64. The plugin depends on Unreal’s built-in MassGameplay, EnhancedInput and Niagara plugins. Check the documentation’s engine support matrix for exact verified patch versions.
Multiplayer is outside the initial release support scope. Your project still owns AI, movement, spawning, animation, UI and game rules. Mass Forge is a gameplay framework, not a complete game template.
